THANKFUL HEART!!

I have SO MUCH to be thankful for!!! I don't even know where to begin!! I want to start out, first, with my wonderful dad!! Holy cow! This man has been through some of the hardest times. I can't believe the pain he can endure! Yet, through all of his broken bones, stitches, wounds, surgeries and near death experiences, he always has a smile on his face! He is such a great example to me! I am so thankful to have such a great dad. Second, my awesome mom! She would do anything for me and the rest of the family. She has had to deal with a lot of stress, especially lately with me and my dad. She is such a wonderful person! She is such a great friend to me and is so much help! I honestly don't know what I would do without her! I am so blessed to have such great parents and live so close to them!! Thanks mom and dad!! I love you! Can't wait til you come home! I am also grateful for my wonderful brothers and sisters-in-law!! I wish I got to see them more! I am very excited for Christmas when we can all be together. Thanks Matt and Amy for taking such good care of dad up there!!
And finally.... I am especially thankful for my wonderful husband, Brian, and my terrific son, Daxon!! I am so lucky to have both of them in my life!! Brian is so great to me and Daxon!! He takes such good care of us and is so much fun!! I am so lucky to have such a great son! He is such a good boy and is so smart! I love both of my boys very much!! I am so very blessed!! I also have the best in-laws in the world!! I love that we live so close to them as well! We always have so much fun! Thanks Boyd, Sherry and Cory, for always helping us out and feeding us!! Ha Ha!! We love you all so much!!
This is a long blog... but I have so much to be thankful for!! Happy Holidays to everyone!!

Toughest Man on the Planet!!
For those of you who haven't heard, my dad was in a very bad accident on Monday.  A huge log from his truck fell on him in Escalante.  He was life flighted that night to Utah Valley.  He suffered from a pelvis fracture, right Femur fracture, right tibia and fibula fracture, and compression fracture of his L3 vertebrae.  That night they took him to surgery and put a rod in his femur and his tibia.  He has been in a lot of pain, but is gradually getting better.  He might get to come home for Thanksgiving!!  The doctors and staff are surprised at how well he is doing!!  This man is my hero! He has been through SO MUCH in his life and is still the happiest, toughest, most caring person on the planet!!  We are so lucky his life was spared (again)!!  His positive attitude, and strength will get him through this difficult time!  Love you dad!! We hope you continue to improve!

Dax picked these gifts out for him at the gift shop.

Since my dad was on the intermediate care floor, we were able to take Daxon in with a mask.  They normally don't let kids in there.  We were lucky.  Seeing Daxon seemed to brighten Grandpa's day... So it was definitely worth it!!
My New Hair
I went in for a trim and this is what I came out with.  The night before my appointment I made a comment about cutting it short.  Brian said I was a chicken and said I'd never do it!!  Well.... I did!!  I have been thinking about cutting my ugly, long hair for a while.  Finally got the guts to do it!!  I like it, it will just take some getting used to!!  Brian likes it too, so I guess that counts more than anything!! :)

Fun with Watercolors!!!
Daxon and I had so much fun painting with watercolors!!!  It has been so long since I have done it!!  I probably had more fun than he did!! Ha Ha!!  Dax is so artistic!!  Very impressive!  He was so sweet... He told me "Mom you are the best painter in the whole world!  Even better than Grandma!"  That really got me laughing!!  He will say anything to make me feel good!

(Mom... please don't laugh at my silly bird when you see this! I really did try!!) :)

Cousin Kyler!
Daxon had so much fun playing with his baby cousin, Kyler.  He just loves him.  It's so cute how he looks out for him. After we went home he started to cry and said, "I miss baby Kyler".  It was so cute!

I LOVE this picture.  Grandpa with his two grandsons... and don't forget Peanut!!!

Dax didn't leave his side the whole night!  He said he can't wait to see baby Kyler again!!
Shootin!!
While Staci and Dallas were here last weekend, we went shootin skeet.  I can't believe I didn't get any pics of anyone actually "shooting".  I did get this pic of Daxon shooting his BB gun.   His ears were being protected from the loud shotguns, but I think he would have worn them even if there were no loud bangs!!  Ha Ha!! We had a lot of fun! Thanks for letting me use your gun Stac!! One day I might get one of my own.

Cabela's
Amy and Matt live just a few minutes from Cabela's.  I like to take Daxon there when we have a chance, because he always has such a fun time.  It was our first time to play the shooting range.  Daxon had a blast!! Literally!! He was just blasting everything in sight!!  What a fun weekend in Lehi!!
Matt and Amy!! Love them!!

Hee Haw Farms
We had a great time last weekend.  We stayed the whole weekend with my brother Matt and his wife Amy at their house in Lehi.  Daxon was able to spend the first night with us before he went with his dad.  Amy took us to Hee Haw Farms.  Daxon's favorite part was the mini corn maze and chasing Amy!!  He also loved the big corn maze and wasn't even scared. (I thought the darkness and everything would scare him).  But that's only because stuff like that scares me!! Ha Ha!!  We had a lot of fun!! Thanks Amy!!! You're the best!

RUN DAX!!!
I think Amy was havin just as much fun as Daxon!!

Ya I was scared!!
Even Brian had a great time!! Thanks for taking most of the pics Bri!!
NINJA TURTLE HALLOWEEN
Daxon was the cutest little ninja turtle for Halloween.  He was so excited to show all his friends at school his new costume!!  He was "Leonardo".

Pumpkin Carving
We carved pumpkins at Grandmas house.  It was lots of fun.  He is so artistic (just like his Grandma).

He loved the guts!

This is his SCARY Halloween face.  His pumpkin is on the right.  He did a great job and had lots of fun!
