Destri

Happy Girl!
Destri is constantly making us smile with her cute personality. She is so much fun. She is always so happy!! She is talking so much. She is already 19 months old!! I can't even believe it. We just love this special little girl! Here are some of her highlights lately:

-Destri loves to make people smile. She knows she is cute, so she does things to make us laugh all of the time! She is a little shy around people she doesn't know, but it doesn't take her long to warm up.
-She loves her big brother! They play so well together. She gets a little frustrated with him at times, because she is getting very independent. She gets mad if he tries to help "too much".
-She loves her baby dolls and her princess, Rapunzel. She is so good at playing with her toys, and keeping herself entertained. She also likes to play with her puzzles.
-She loves to read books. If Destri is in a bad mood, all you have to do is say "Book" and she will find the nearest book and bring it to you to read to her. She will sit on your lap until you are finished reading it to her. Then she will head out to find another.
-She LOVES Barney!! This is another way to cheer her up if she is sad. She starts to squeal if you even mention the word Barney. It's the cutest thing ever!
-She can say most words, and will repeat anything you say. Even if she can't say it, she will try her hardest to make it come out right. She can sing "Twinkle Little Star" the "ABC's" and some Barney songs. Some of the cutest words she says are "Awesome" "Dangit" "Baby" "Princess" "I Sorry" "All done" "Eat" and "I don't know, where is it?".
-Her favorite things to eat are apples, bananas, cheese, turkey, oatmeal, eggs, green beans, juice, chocolate milk and crackers. Although, she is pretty good at eating almost anything.
-She is so petite. She can still wear 12 month old clothes and only weighs 22 lbs. It's so cute watching her walk around the house.
-She is a VERY GOOD SLEEPER. She goes down for a nap and goes to bed so easily. We just lay her in her crib and she doesn't even argue. She goes right down. She sleeps the whole night, and it's SO WONDERFUL! What a good girl.
-She, unfortunately, still loves her binky. We broke her of the bottle at 12 months, but the binky might be a little harder. But we try to only give it to her when she goes to sleep. She doesn't like sippy cups. She only drinks through cups with straws.

I can't imagine life without this sweet little girl. She is so cuddly and gets so excited when her daddy comes home from work. She gives lots of kisses, hugs and "I Love you's". She is such a sweetheart and has brought so much joy into our home!! We love you Destri!

Magic Show

She loves her big dog, Kill!

Daxon

What a Goofball!
You can't help but laugh when you are around this kid!! He definitely makes life interesting at our house. Daxon is now 6 years old and we are so proud of him. He is such a good boy! Here are some highlights on Dax:

-He is the best big brother!! He loves helping his baby sister and also loves to play with her. He lets her play with all of his toys and gives her hugs and kisses all the time. He is the only on that can make her belly laugh until she falls over. He even told me that he will beat up on anyone who dared to pick on his sister!
-He is super smart! He just loves Kindergarten and loves to learn. He is getting really good at reading and writing. He is very artistic and spends a lot of his time drawing. He couldn't wait for Christmas break to be over, so he could go back to school.
-He always helps around the house. He will do anything I ask him to, whether it be throwing away a dirty diaper, washing the dishes, taking out the trash, feeding his dog, or putting away his clothes. He is always willing and never complains.
- Some of his favorite TV show are, Spongebob, iCarly, Saved By the Bell and WWE. He loves to play with his wrestlers while he watches Monday Night Raw!! He never complains when we have to change the channel to Barney when his sister wants a turn to watch TV either!!
-He is very caring and sensitive. He doesn't like to see anyone get hurt and always wants to help.
-He is getting pretty good at basketball. He can shoot a big ball in the hoop now. And he practices every chance he gets. He is getting really strong, and he is very excited for wrestling season to start up soon.
-He has lost his 2 bottom teeth so far. His top ones are getting a little loose now, so they might be the next to go.

Daxon is an all-around GREAT KID!! He makes life so much fun at our house. I don't know what we would do without him!! We love you Daxon!!

Girls Nite!

"JUST DANCE"
Baylee, Whitney, Bre and I decided to have another "girls night"! This time we made tacos and chocolate chip cookies. They brought over the COOLEST game ever for the Wii. Just Dance!! It was so much fun. It's a pretty good workout too. I had heard a lot about it from friends on facebook. After Christmas, it seemed like that was what everyone was talking about. So I have been wanting to try it out! Whitney pretty much kicked our butts, because she is an awesome dancer. (in our defense, though, she has had a lot of practice) Ha Ha!! Destri even got into it and was dancing with us. I think Dax was just embarrassed, because he didn't groove like I know he can. It must have been all the girls! I definitely think that this is the next game I will purchase for the Wii!! It's a total BLAST!

This must be why Whitney was better than us. We are all singing, and Whitney is dancing!! Something is wrong here!!

"Viva Las Vegas!" I was better at this dance, because it was sort of "hickish". That's how we dance at the county fairs here!! Ha Ha!

Building Bridges

Weekend with the Guys!
Brian is currently working in Salt Lake building a bridge on 114th South. He called me and told me that they have to work every day until the 21st of January, because they have a deadline on when the have to have the deck of the bridge poured. I was so bummed, because I knew I would have a hard time going that long without seeing him. The kids would be sad too. And I especially knew how hard it would be for him to be away from us the whole time, and living in a motel too!! :( So I had a wonderful idea!! I had the whole weekend off, so I thought, "Why don't we go to SLC to see him?" He was so excited when I told him! Then I called Sherry and Breanna to see if we could all go together to see the guys. (Boyd and Cory are also working on this job.) They were totally excited about the idea too!! So we all went up and stayed with them in their motel and spent the weekend with them. During the day, while they were hard at work, we went swimming, shopping and even went to the drill team competition at Alta High School. It worked out perfectly that the drill competition was only a few miles from our motel. Then we went out to dinner both nights with the guys. They were really excited to see us. Brian drove us to his jobsite, and Daxon was really excited to see the bridge that they are building. He is always so interested in Brian's work. He thought it was so cool to see what they do. It worked out perfectly, and we had a great weekend!!!

I love this guy!! He is the best!! He works so hard for us and makes so many sacrifices to support our family!! I am one lucky girl!!
Waiting to be seated at Chili's

Destri loved the pool!

Whitney is so beautiful, and such a great dancer!!

My goofy boys!!

2011

Happy New Year!!!
My mom and dad never disappoint when they throw a New Year's party!! We had so much fun ringing in the new year with family! My mother and father-in-law (Sherry and Boyd) came too! And also, Cory (my brother-in-law) and his cute girlfriend, Breanna. We ate some fabulous food! Crablegs, filet mignon, shrimp, hotwings, and plenty of other stuff. We, of course, played some games, which included Catch Phrase, Bop It, and Apples to Apples. We had such a great time!

I don't know where Brian got the memo that it was an "ugly sweater" party, but he sure wore his anyway!!
Pickle face!

Cheers!
I decided to help Cory with the Cider!! "Down the hatch!"

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
