Wannadroppapoey

Wannadroppapoey
To kick off the county fair, this year they decided to do outhouse races.  So redneck!!  My Dad constructed quite the outhouse, and wanted me to put together a team.  So I immediately called Beth and Zack!!  Since Brian had to work and couldn't make it, I had to find another guy.  I called up Buzz, one of my co-workers.  I knew he would be awesome!  Luckily he was all for it!  Our theme was Hawaiian.  We dressed the parts and decided to call our outhouse "Wannadroppapoey".  There were 6 total outhouses, so they just did a round robin where everybody races everybody.   My job, as the rider, was to jump out at 3 different obstacles and do it as quickly as possible.  They were: Toilet paper exchange, Digging a corn cob out of a tub of mud and a poop toss (basically corn hole).  We won all of our races and ended up champions.  We won $500, which was well worth it.  It was a ton of fun! I hope they do it again next year.
After the races was the annual Rib BBQ, which my Dad is always in charge of.  His ribs were wonderful, as always.  This is always one of my favorite days of the fair, and the outhouse races made it even better!!

Achilles
These kids love their big dog, Achilles (AKA "Kill").  He is so sweet and gentle with them.  Denim just tugs on him and climbs all over him.  I think he loves it just as much as she does.  He is such a good dog! We are pretty lucky to have him!

24th of July

24th of July
This year we celebrated Pioneer Day a little differently.  Grandma Sherry and I decided to take the kids to St George since Brian and Boyd had to work down there.  While the guys were at work, we took the kids swimming at the Motel.  They, of course, LOVED it.  They are little fish, even Denim.  That evening we went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse.  It was a day full of fun!  And Daxon, Destri and I even got some school shopping in! :)  Lucky Grandma was there to stay at the Motel with Denim.

Dad got to come swimming with us when he got off work!

Days of '47/Lonestar

Days of '47 Rodeo/Lonestar
I FINALLY won tickets on Z104 radio station!!  Of course they weren't tickets to George Strait or Luke Bryan, but I'll take what I can get.  I stumped the DJ and scored us a couple of tickets to the Days of 47 Rodeo and backstage passes to meet Lonestar.  It was a good excuse for a weekend getaway with my handsome husband!! :)  We stayed at the Little America and took tracks to the Rodeo at the Energy Solutions Arena.  We had a great time! Brian humored me and joined me to meet Lonestar.  He was a pretty good sport about it.  They put on a pretty good concert.  They may be old school, but they still sounded great!!

We got to go inside the arena for the concert
