Little Buckaroo Rodeo

The kids had a lot of fun at the Little Buckaroo Rodeo.  I didn't have any mutton busters this year.  The girls were too scared to ride a sheep, and Daxon was still healing from his broken wrist.  So he didn't ride a sheep or a calf.  (which is fine with this mom!)  It gives me anxiety!  But they sure had fun playing with their friends and doing the other events.  Bodie Gayler caught a rooster for Destri.  She was really excited about that.   I love the atmosphere during the fair, and it's so fun seeing old friends. :)

Color Fest/NEON 5K

Wednesday night at the Piute County Fair was one for the books.  All ages had SO MUCH FUN!!!  Starting with bubble ball soccer then a color fest right before dark.  The kids got splashed with color and loved every minute of it.  I can't believe how many runners came out for the NEON 5K.  It was really cool!  I ended up taking 1st in my age group and 2nd overall in women's.  Daxon ran his best time of 27:27.  I was really proud of him.  This has become one of my favorite events of our county fair!

This is always a highlight of our County Fair.  My Dad makes his famous BBQ pork ribs, which are always fabulous.  He has the best cook help around, might I add!!  Not only do we enjoy a wonderful dinner, but the entertainment is always lots of fun.. This year they had pioneer games for both kids and adults.  Piute County knows how to have fun!
