Cedar Rip

Daxon had the wonderful opportunity to be asked to play on a traveling baseball team, Cedar Rip.  The team is based out of Cedar City, and most of the players are from there or the surrounding area.  Daxon, McKray and Brooks (all Piute boys) were asked to play on the team.  He is having a blast and is learning a lot and getting a lot of experience.  He loves this sport and he is so thankful he can get more experience!  The coaches are fabulous and so are the kids.  It's a fun ball club for sure!

We decided to snap a few shots of the kids in the pretty sunflowers.  They are so beautiful this time of year.  It's fun playing with our cameras and it helps that we have some cute kids to take pictures of!!  Love these 3 kids!

We didn't get many pictures from the 24th of July. We decided to ride over the mountain and go to the Beaver horse races.  It was a lot of fun.  And the mountain was beautiful.

Grandpa Rick, Daxon and I took a ride up on the Beaver Mountain to pick up our camper.  We stopped along the way to talk with some friends.  Along the tree line, I spotted this little guy!  He was hanging out in someones camp eating their leftovers.  We decided to drive closer to get some better pictures (as close as we dared).  He didn't seem too worried about us.  I was so excited, because it was the very first bear I've seen up there.  It was pretty fun to see!!  The very same day we killed a rattle snake.  I think I was more scared of the snake! Hate 'em! So glad I had my camera and good lens with me on this trip!

This was my third time running this race.  I barely missed my best time by 2 minutes.  My time was 1:50:03.  I wasn't too disappointed, though, because I didn't train as hard this year.  I felt really good the entire race and it was fun having Kate there with me!  We had a great time and the weather was awesome.  Wish Brian could've been there to run it with me, but he was at work in Idaho.  Maybe next time ;)  My wonderful Mom was there to support me and I appreciate her for that.  She's the best!  We had to hurry out of there to make it to Daxon's state baseball game.

Our 10U All-Star played North Sevier for the state championship in Richfield.  We won 22-2!!  Our boys played great and it was so fun watching them!!  We have some great coaches also!  Such a fun year of baseball!!

4th of July Weekend

4th of July Weekend

Since we had a long holiday weekend, we decided to go to our favorite camping spot on Betenson Flat.  We had a fun time camping.  The kids really had fun in the pre-made fort.  The weather was beautiful and we sure enjoyed the cool mountain air.
