Lots of Bad Luck

Lots of bad luck....
We have our share of bad luck lately!!!  First, Destri got her pinky finger caught in a weight machine cable while we were doing crossfit at the high school on Jan 3rd.  It was cut really bad and scared us to death! Brian and I took her up to Richfield to the ER and Dr Pope stitched her up, but told us that we would have to see a hand surgeon at Primary Children's to repair the tendon.  Her pinky wouldn't bend at all. :(  A week later we took her to Salt Lake to Dr McMullin, a hand specialist, and they did surgery on her little pinky.  After they got in there, they discovered she had cut both tendons and 2 nerves.  It took 5 hours to repair everything.  We were a nervous wreck.  She was a trooper though, and did a lot better than we expected!  Thank goodness for priesthood blessings and prayers.  She is healing up really well. Lots of physical therapy!!
Second, Denim had been really sick for about a week.  And on Super Bowl Sunday we noticed her breathing wasn't normal and she started running a fever again.  She was really fussy and just not her happy self.  We decided to take her into the ER that afternoon.  They told us she had RSV after some tests.  Luckily she wasn't bad enough to admit her into the hospital.  They sent us home with some breathing treatments, and she was on the mend after 4-5 days.
Third, I was on my way home from work one evening and hit a deer in my car.  Luckily I wasn't hurt and the car was able to be fixed.
Last, I got a phone call from my Mom one afternoon saying that Daxon was on his way up to the ER with Grandpa.  He had split his chin open at school.  I couldn't believe it after everything that had happened!!  He split it open really deep and had to have 7 stitches.  Dr Abbott did a really good job and made it pretty much painless for Daxon.  I was really impressed.  And Daxon did really well under the circumstances.  He was mostly disappointed, because he had to miss the first day of wrestling practice and miss a few more and a tournament.
Needless to say, we have had our fair share of ER visits so far for the year.  When it rains, it pours right!! :)
