State Baseball 10U
This was definitely up there for one of those "proud mom moments". Daxon broke his left wrist 1 week prior to state baseball. He was devastated!! Dr Brown made him smile when he told him that he could put a splint on it and still play. He didn't cast it, because a cast wouldn't fit in his baseball glove. He didn't let it slow him down much. He was still able to pitch and play just like normal. Hitting was a challenge, because it hurt to swing left handed. He did well at trying some bunts. He finally decided to just tough it out and swing the bat like he knows how! He did awesome. His team played so amazing and they were so supportive of Dax and his injury. They ended up taking 2nd in the A League. They lost in the championship game 1-0 to South Sevier. It was a defensive battle. I am so proud of him for being so tough and never giving up, no matter how frustrating it was. I sure love this little baseball buddy. It's a joy to watch him play and a privilege to call him mine.
